Covid 19 & Quarantine
So I took the test on Monday and sure enough, I got Covid! So we spent this week in quarantine. We could drive around, go through drive thrus and go for walks. Other than that, we chilled inside.
I wasn't able to taste anything for about five days, but now I am almost back to normal. It is similar to if I burnt my tongue. The rest of my mouth can taste, but not my tongue. While I couldn't taste very much, I could taste sugary things. I ate a lot of mango and yogurt! Chocolate was always a let down and things like eggs, potatoes, and beans, I couldn't taste at all.
Every single Latina in the whole world (not even an exageration) told me to drink ginger, honey and lemon to get cured. They are precious:)
We still did missionary work, just no in-person visits. We contacted a lot of people and had videocalls with members. My spanish has greatly improved!
I was tired to my core this week. I felt so exhausted that I started questioning if I have ever had energy in my life, or if this is how it has always been. I started to think I would never have energy again, either. The mind games were the hardest part of this whole experience. And overall, I don't recommend getting covid. One star on yelp.
Reading the book if Matthew in the bible helped bring me through this week. Reading the acts and words of the Savior, plain and simple, gave me the strength to not cry all the time haha. Amazing. I know He is my Redeemer
