Just the usual mission life

This week went by quick! I dont have much to say. Cool things 1) we got up super early to go to the mountains to shoot a piano/vical/cello music video for the facebook page and it was beautiful and super fun to get out! The location was soooo pretty but also private property so these two hunter guys made us leave. Exciting! 2) it was sister hopkins birthday so we celebrated as a district by eating pizza and having a little party

Q&A biking & dieting (BONUS behind the scenes of life in the mission)

Question: What is the best pat of your week? Answer: Biking is the best thing ever. We live on the top of many hills, so going places is super fun and coming back home is very difficult, but on a related note, my quads are as solid as my testimony. We biked for hours this week. I loved it! We biked to lessons, member presentations and music rehearsals. Sister Hopkins and I feel like 'real missionaries' when we are biking.  Question: how are you so skinny?? What diet are you doing?? The cookie diet, keto, intermittent fasting? Answer: It is actually a diet called 'we did not have money to go grocery shopping this week.' Unlike other diets, it is easy on your wallet! But like other diets, you will be sad. Haha just kidding it wasn't THAT bad. We came up with some pretty interesting meals. I have never been so grateful for two lil potatoes and some mustard. Bonus Story: These two elders would keep their front door open at night so that moths would fly to the light, a

This week was a great one! It had experiences from every spectrum of the corona mission that I am serving. 1. We had a baptism and it was precious! The husband of this adorble couple is now a member, so they have their sights set on the temple. Eternal families is really why we do everything.  2. We had three straight days where we had no reason to leave. I actually enjoyed them! I love our apartment and I was able to do a lot of studying and reading. And then when we id end up seeing people after our little "staycation," I was even more grateful for it. Also, I was only able to get through that al because I practiced mindfulness and God's grace. It really has been helping me! 3. My companion does so many musical numbers because she is super musically talented-- she has the voice of an angel and she plays the cello! So I got to sit in on a lot of practices for that and man it jut fills my soul with rest.  4. Wow I have the BEST district! We hiked a super dope trail toda

I t hit me like a ton of bricks that I love the mission life. Now I understand why people return from their missions "weird." You better believe I am about to do the same. Updates: 1 Therapy! Wow we are focussing on Mindfulness and it is changing my life straight up. Everything has changed because my perspective has changed. It can be slightly overwhelming because change is difficult, but it feels good at the same time, too:) 2 Someone we are teaching accepted the invitation to be baptized. !! We then had a lesson going over the baptismal interview questions and when he didn't understand something, his wife (who is a member) would explain it to him. It was precious . Families are ordained of God! 3 General Conference was litttt. I felt the spirit, enjoyed a pumpkin pie with my friends, and took a good nap. Those are the three pillars of a good general conference weekend. My district also had territorial contention with another district, so dinner and a show right? 4 I le
