We moved into a basement and it is really nice! It is an upgrade from our apartment. Super clean.

We had a really great lesson with this nonmember guy and his member wife. We have had a lesson with him before, but he watched tv the whole time and you could tell that his wife dragged him into it. But this time, we opened it up with some really bad spanish and they both thought it was SO FUNNY. And from there on out we had a great lesson!

I like to wear what I think is cute, but one elder looked at my outfit and said, "i cant tell if you are amish or a hipster." Elders always have a way of saying the right thing.

I started reading the bible!! It is WILD stuff--people are falling into slime pits and living till 900 years old.  But i feel the spirit when I read it:)) And it is beyond me how it works but I feel some sort of enduring joy and lightness from the scriptures. Give 'em a chance.

I dont really have anything else to say besides that this is my mission and i dont feel any need to go to uruguay # blessed. And i have been eating a LOT of squash recently. And i know God loves you. For real.

  We had miracles on Sunday  People that we are teaching went to church like CRAZY. The most amazing instance was when a girl who is at her dad's house in another city 50% of the time went to the ward over there. Big win because her dad doesn't like the church. She is 13 and making these decisions on HER OWN!  On Friday, we drove to a guy's house that told us we could stop by anytime. But when we stopped by he wasn't home. But as we were driving away we saw him in the far off distance in his backyard. SO we yelled his name from the other side of the yard and climbed down the retaining wall and started teaching him  Less than 10 days. I am going to soak this all up. Love you Sister Hall

  Hello! I am halfway through my mission and looking back, it has been a surprising and great journey.  - mexico mtc for 12 days - home mtc for 4 weeks as a missionary - worked at home depot for 2 months - started my mission in the samoan area - serving in spanish!! Hello, Well I was sitting on the plane just relishing in my last moments of no expectations. I thought to myself, "enjoy this while you can, because it is going to be non-stop work, obedience and strict schedules for the next fifteen months." Hahaaaa what a joke. Expectations met reality and it hurt a little. I'm in a trio with two Samoan sisters serving in the Samoan area. We are stationed in West jordan and the area we cover is bigger than my actual mission! Sister Tofaeono is my trainer and my other comp's name is Sister Mariner. Sister T is very understanding, chill and extremely genuine. I love that about her. She is so chill in fact that when i ask for guidance or about the rules, she says, "do what ever you want." And sister mariner is beautiful and mellow. They are both from Samoa and they speak Samoan as their first language. They speak it to each other a lot so i am kinda in my own world A lot of the time.
