It's good to be a missionary!










 This week we turned in all zeros, which means we did not find anyone to teach, nor did anyone we teach attend church. BUT, we did invite five people to be baptized and teach many lessons. We are really out here doing the work of the Lord.


Some Highlights
1 We were visiting a member and she felt bad that she didn't have any treats to give us. I said, "Honestly, we don't need treats. All I want is a watermellon." So the next day she went to Costco and bought us a fat watermellon🍉😋
2 Usually Sundays are crazy busy because we are running to and from different meetings and church services, but this last Sunday was stake conference over zoom. So mellow💤
3 There was a neighborhood party🎉 There was an Acai food truck there and it was divineeee. We also got to talk to people of diverse backgrounds. People in Utah know the missionaries whether they are members of the Church or not. So we walked up to this couple and they go, "I'm Jack and he's Noah and we are heathens." 😈😈

I cannot tell you how much I love serving the Lord as a set-apart missionary. My companion and I laugh so much. We teach a lot. We feel the spirit as a constant companion. We know the scriptures. We know the Lord. It is amazing. 

Still kicking it in my tenth month here in Draper⚡Go do some good!

  It was a great week! Here are the notable things 1. General Conference. Eight hours of tv?! Yes please. I loved so many of the talks and just having time to remember what is truly important: Jesus Christ 2. A member gave us an Easter dinner and for dessert she gave us each one pound chocolate bunnies . We left them on a random doorstep down the street and ran .  3. We were watching general conference as a district, all happy and in la-la land, AND THEN suddenly they call Alvin F Meredith "Tripp" to be a general authority??? That is my mission president. Ah no! Candy Necklace review

  Hello I bought a candy necklace  I was so excited to wear it but when I tried to put it on, my HEAD WAS TOO BIG. I couldn't fit it over this big noggin. Genetics are working against me I am training again! My companion's name is Sister Westbrook and she is from California. She is the second of five. My favorite things about her are that she is an amazing story-teller, decisive, outgoing, and iconic. Overall she is super cool and I am blessed to be able to welcome her into the mission! Also, she said she doesn't like food with taste. We eat every meal together, but rarely the same meal We spent some time knocking doors this week. The usual way this goes down is we message a neighbor who lives next to a person who has not yet accepted the message of Christ's restored gospel. We ask the neighbor if they would accompany us to knock in the door. Usually they say yes, unless they have good information for why we shouldn't. Then we knock on the door and introduce ourselv...

Polyworld

Hello, Well I was sitting on the plane just relishing in my last moments of no expectations. I thought to myself, "enjoy this while you can, because it is going to be non-stop work, obedience and strict schedules for the next fifteen months." Hahaaaa what a joke. Expectations met reality and it hurt a little. I'm in a trio with two Samoan sisters serving in the Samoan area. We are stationed in West jordan and the area we cover is bigger than my actual mission! Sister Tofaeono is my trainer and my other comp's name is Sister Mariner. Sister T is very understanding, chill and extremely genuine. I love that about her. She is so chill in fact that when i ask for guidance or about the rules, she says, "do what ever you want." And sister mariner is beautiful and mellow. They are both from Samoa and they speak Samoan as their first language. They speak it to each other a lot so i am kinda in my own world A lot of the time.
